January 2009

So far this year has been on skates. There are several reading challenges I'd like to invite everyone that is passing through to join. The 100,000 book challenge by eharlequin is accepting members. It's very easy just click on the link(http://eharlequin.com) and then follow directions for posting what you read. Any book will count towards the total.

There is also the FOMA (Fourth Annual NaJuReMoNoMo) challenge. January is fiction only month!

So let's read up and share in the fun!

Helping is Easy....

Whether you read one book this year or hundreds, you can help less fortunate people learn to read or learn to read better. What better gift to give than literacy! I am always looking for a way to channel my reading neurosis into a win/win situation. This year I have been participating in the eharlequin 100,000 book challenge. All you have to do is post a review of the books that you read, ANY book, and help them reach 100,000 books for 2008.

The prize... for every book read, they will be donating a book to the National Center for Family Literacy to benefit their literacy programs.

How can you pass up helping this great program simply by doing what you already love to do. Read and share with others. So far this year I have posted 125 reviews... even one post is one book closer to this goal.

So please, go to http://community.eharlequin.com/book-challenge and post your review and let that book count for something. Reading is a privilege we can give others.

Thanks!
